DARIN L. OFFERDAHL, MBA, CPA
Darin L. Offerdahl is a partner with Offerdahl Emerson & Company, LLC. Darin has over 25 years of experience providing accounting and advisory services to closely held businesses, individuals, and non-profits. After eight plus years in the United States Navy, Darin transitioned to an accounting career with national, regional and local public accounting firms directing client relationships, engagements and audit teams and auditing the financial statements of a wide range of governmental, non-profit and commercial organizations highlights his professionalism and knowledge. In addition, Darin spent a number of years at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, a publicly traded biotech as their Director of Financial Reporting and Compliance. Preceding Alexion, Darin spent several years with Acme United, a publicly traded manufacturer and distributor of office supplies, as their Accounting Director. Darin earned his Bachelor of Science from Southern Connecticut State University and Master of Business Administration, Finance and Accounting from Regis University School of Management. Darin is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut
Darin is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Darin is the treasurer with 818 Ministries International, Inc. and a former director and treasurer of The Multicultural Leadership Institute, Inc. and Adelbrook, Inc. Darin is also a 3rd Degree black belt instructor and member of the World Tang Soo Do Association teaching youth, adult and special needs classes weekly.
KERRY EMERSON
Kerry L. Emerson is a tax, accounting and small business partner with Offerdahl Emerson & Company, LLC. Kerry has over 20 years of experience providing accounting, tax, advisory services and estate planning to organizations and individuals across Connecticut. Kerry’s years of experience with local public accounting firms include directing client relationships with regards to accounting, tax strategies and tax compliance requirements for a wide range of closely-held organizations.
She is a graduate of Rutgers University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She leads and actively participates in the planning and preparation of quarterly and annual tax compliance needs for both closely held businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Kerry is also often utilized by clients as a “temporary controller” or “finance director or advisor” when they need personnel. Her experience of running and operating the financial function of a business or non-profit gives our clients added comfort in knowing we can help them under times of stress. Kerry is on the Board of Directors of Youth and Family Services of Haddam-Killingworth, Inc. supporting the needs of local youth and families.
